Sid Grimes began singing and playing professionally as a solo artist in Chicago in 2015. Shortly afterwards, in 2016, she first took the stage alongside her own band the Rowdy Outlaws. In time, this became a very special group. Sid currently performs regularly around Austin and central Texas as a solo artist, and her debut LP, House of Cards, is available right now on all streaming platforms. These songs capture Sid and the band's comfort with each other in the studio as they explore the kind of music Sid calls “existing in the vast land between the two established territories of Southern Rock and Underground Country.” She plays with a variety of sounds, colors, and topics that bloom from a life spent studying the works and vocals of John Fogarty, Bob Seger, Burton Cummings, Alanis Morissette, Joe Cocker, John Mellencamp, Melanie C and Florence Welch.
