20201014 Weekly News Splash

Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate our 5th Anniversary last weekend!  We all had a fantastic time and the sneak peak of our 2019 Wild Eye Red and Cali Vionier were a big hit!  We also had great merchandise specials, and other fun events like Spin to Win and the mystery drawing. Speaking of the mystery drawing: Dave Parish was the winner of a bottle of Wild Eye Red and 2 Bent Oak Winery ceramic coasters.


The tasting room remains open by reservation only - we cannot accept walk-ups - and curbside pickup continues.  The Governor's latest directive allows us to open under the "bar rules" instead of the "51% restaurant rules."  What does that mean for you?  You are NOT required to buy food/non-wine items with your wine and member glasses are allowed again! However, all other COVID protocols still remain: we are at 50% occupancy, masks are required until orders are taken and then when you leave the table, your temperature is taken upon entry, hand sanitizer is required to enter the tasting room, and reservations are required. We are glad to get back to our normal "wine rules," but will still have some food specials for your enjoyment. Business hours for tasting room and curbside are Thursday through Saturday 2:00-7:00 PM and Sunday 1:00-5:00 PM and don't forget about Wine Down Friday Music from 3:30-6:30 PM!


We have some even more exciting news to share! We are bringing back a few events to finish out this quarter. We are starting with outside events encapsulated in our Fall Festival. We will have the large tent in between the buildings for the weekend of November 13th through the 15th. On Friday night we will host a private dinner.  You can join us on Saturday, the 14th, for the 3rd Annual Sip & Shop from 1:00 to 6:00 PM.  Since we will still have reservations for the Tasting Room, we will have a wine serving station outside to accommodate the sipping and shopping.  If you would like to have a booth this year, please reserve your space HERE.


On Sunday, the 15th, we will host our 1st Annual Chili Cook Off.  Come hungry and participate in the People's Choice Awards where you all will decide the People's Choice winner.  We will also have "official" judges to determine the chili cook off winner.  If you want to test out your chili recipe, enter early as we are only accepting 10 contestants for this year. Additonally we are finalizing a cork craft night for early December where it will likely run for two nights (Tuesday and Wednesday) with the attendance for each night will be limited (thus the need for two nights).  As soon as we have more information we will get it out to you. We are super excited to try and hold some safe events during this crazy COVID crisis!


Reminder: Last weekend to make changes to your October release - Mixed vs All White vs All Red.  Credit cards will be processed on Monday, October 19th and pick up begins on the 24th.


Are you ready for some football? 

We had 57 people participate in week #5 which ended in a seven-person tie and required use of the tiebreaker score to determine the winner.  Congratulations to Margaret Kelly for getting 11 correct and being within one point of the tiebreaker game total score.  Margaret won a bottle of 2018 Chenin Blanc.


Join us for Week 6 of the NFL You Pick 'Em game.  You select the winners of each game and enter the total score of the Monday Night Football game.  A bottle of Barbera to this weekend's winner!  Below is the link to the pick 'em entry form.  Get your entry in before the first Sunday game since there is no Thursday night game this week and good luck!  The more the merrier so join us this week!
