News You Can Use

We hope you all had a great 4th of July! We were busy bottling our Texas red wines on the 3rd and 4th.  At the end of the 4th we had bottled a little over 2300 cases spread over the following 2019 varietals: Aglianico 145, Barbera 344, Cabernet Sauvignon 234, Dolcetto 223, Petit Verdot 164, Sangiovese 526, Tempranillo 286, and Wild Eye Red 382. You will note we have added Aglianico and Wild Eye Red to our lineup. The Wild Eye Red blend is replacing Mourvedre for this year and is comprised of 50% Mourvedre, 45% Texas Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we will continue to be open curbside only.  We are hoping the lobbying efforts of the Texas Hill Country Wineries Association, TWGGA, the Ag Commissioner, and others to help refine guidelines for producers such as wineries, breweries and distilleries will be successful.  Additionally, John was interviewed by CBS Austin in the tasting room (aired on July 2nd) regarding getting the State to redefine the guidelines for wineries, breweries, and distilleries.
